His Highness Maharaja Sri Jayachamarajendra Wodeyar, was the twenty-fifth maharaja of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1940 to 1971, ruling from 1940 until the monarchy was abolished in 1950, continuing to hold the title of maharaja until princely titles were abolished in 1971, and remaining head of the erstwhile royal family with the unofficial title of maharaja thereafter through his death. He was a noted philosopher, musicologist, political thinker, and philanthropist.
This Organisation Came Into Existence In 1938, With the initiative & Patronage of his highness Sri JAYACHAMARAJENDRA WODEYAR, Erstwhile Ruler of Mysore. He graciously donated 60 acres of land for this noble cause and under the Leadership of Sri Moolchand Jivandas, Sri Bhabutmalji, Sri Shampathrajji Khabiya, Sri Shanthilalji Chordiya the Society was formed. We are proud to state that in these 83 Years, We have lived up to his expectations by providing shelter to innumerable Cattle & Other Animals who have been discarded by their owners and all these Animals get clean drinking water, Healthy Fodder, Scientific Care and hygienic shelter.
